daemonlogger software package provides simple network packet logger and soft tap daemon, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install daemonlogger
daemonlogger is installed in your system.
Make ensure the daemonlogger package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep daemonlogger *
You will get with daemonlogger package name, version, architecture and description in a table
